Chinese labour migrant workers in the Hague region who encounter problems at work can (anonymously) contact us for information, advice and help. It does not matter in which sector you work.
Examples of problems Chinese workers face are:
• I have a work contract, but I do not know what it contains
• I do not have an independent residence permit and my (Dutch) partner is abusing my vulnerable position
• I live and work illegally in the Netherlands or my salary is not paid
• I have to work 50 or more hours every week and I still do not receive minimum wage
• I work in a very different job than what I have been promised, what can I do?
• I am sick but I have been forced to work
• I am intimidated to do things against my wish
• My passport and / or other important documents are taken away
• I am indebted due to my payment for people smuggling cost and now I must do everything to pay it back
• My family will not be safe if I do not do what they say
• High rent and other costs are deducted from my low salary
• I am locked in a house or in a room
• I have to share a very small house with many people where I can not breathe properly / where it is very cold / where it is very hot
• I do not get an employment contract while I have to work
• My employment contract was changed without my knowledge
• I think that I receive a lot less in cash than what it is stated in the contract
• I discover that a bank account is opened under my name, but I have never seen the bank card
• I am being threatened
• I am beaten
